The brand instantly became recognisable on the international market, like lightning we appeared in the minds of our competitors and our clients.
Our iconic style is a modern mark of respect to the man who has dedicated his life to researching and exploring the sea and all forms of life in water, conservationist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author...to the legendary Commandant Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
He was the one who added the yellow stripes on his branded «La spirotechnique» wetsuits, that was first shown in the brand catalogue in 1963 under the name «SUPER CALYPSO».
The name of our brand «TRITON» on the other was chosen independently because of its connection to the ancient Greek mythology, where Triton is a merman, demigod of the sea. Triton also refers to a colorful aquatic salamander, Triturus. Small animals, who spend their lives in two worlds: on land and in the water.
He who does not honour his roots, has no future. That is exactly why, TRITON is a balanced mix of experience and innovation that go hand in hand with new and developing technology.
